We hope that you and your family had a wonderful Easter Sunday! We made a trip to Saratoga Springs and spent the holiday weekend with Stephanie’s Mom and Dad and Sister. We arrived in the waning hours of Good Friday.
Getting there Friday night gave us plenty of time on Saturday to get ready for the Easter bunny’s visit. Above Sean and Nathan are coloring some Easter eggs.
Here Nathan takes great care in getting some carrots and a glass of milk ready for the holiday guest. He even thought that it would be nice to give the bunny some dip for those carrots.
Leaving no detail unfinished, Nathan wanted to leave the Easter bunny a note explaining how he would like him/her to go about hiding the plastic easter eggs that we thought could be recycled from Easters past. We are pretty sure that the Easter bunny appreciates that in these economic times.
For a moment we thought we had captured the Easter Bunny on camera, but alas, it was just Sean sporting some ears and a silly lollipop that he received in his basket.
Then
Now
Whenever we have the occasion to celebrate Easter in Saratoga, we make a point to take pictures in front of the beautiful flowers that decorate the altar at Stephanie’s parent’s church. Not only does it create wonderful images and memories of the boys, but it also reminds us of our wedding that took place with many of the same types of flowers decorating the altar in that church, 2 weeks after Easter in 1996.
Happy Easter!
