The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday was a busy day in our household. Even though it was a holiday off from school, we still had to get out the door early. For Nathan and Stephanie, it was off to a Cub Scout Pack bowling outing.

Nathan bowled very well. As you can see this one looks like it is going to be a strike.

 Perhaps all of his practice bowling on Nintendo Wii paid off.

While Stephanie and Nathan were bowling, Sean got up early and went to work with his Dad. Unfortunately Steve had to work while the rest of the family had a holiday. They made the best of it. The boys always seem to have fun seeing what their dad is working on when they visit. Here they are trying to get a close up view.  Steve is laughing because he doesn’t usually do this type of work with two kids on his lap!

 Another highlight of visiting the lab for the boys is seeing Jack the anole (aka Jack the Lizard), the lab mascot, and giving him a drink of water and a cricket.

All in all, it was a relaxing three day weekend…well at least for 3 out of 4 of us.
